Kristian Eddé is a Swedish fashion brand built on a deep commitment to timeless design, refined craftsmanship, and sustainable luxury. Founded by Daniel Kristian Edde Ankarstrand, the brand began with a simple but powerful idea: if the perfect product does not exist, make it yourself.
When Daniel could not find the high-quality leather accessories he was looking for, he began teaching himself the art of leathercraft. What started with curiosity became a full devotion. Countless hours were spent studying traditional techniques, watching master craftsmen, and practicing each detail by hand. Every cut, every stitch, and every mistake became part of the learning process. It was not theory that shaped the brand, but repetition, patience, and a love for the work.
In 2016, after thousands of hours dedicated to the craft, Daniel launched Kristian Eddé. A tribute to the wonders of nature. Specifically the sea, as most of the brand’s accessories to the wider extent are made of salmon leather
Our Materials: Rare, Responsible, and Refined
Kristian Eddé is committed to sustainability in both material and method. We only work with leather whose origins and processes are fully known to us. Our signature salmon leather is one of the most exceptional and underused materials in fashion. It is sourced as a byproduct of the Nordic fish industry and tanned in Iceland using environmentally conscious methods.
Salmon leather is not a substitute for luxury. It is more exotic, more sustainable, and more sophisticated than many traditional leathers. It offers a rare texture and a natural pattern that evolves beautifully with age.
We also use high-quality chèvre leather and calf leather, both sourced from family-owned tanneries in France. These partners share our values of quality, transparency, and environmental responsibility. Just like the relationship we build with our customers, our relationships with our material sources are personal and trusted.
